iPhone Updating

June 21, 2009

I was quite surprised to find out that I could update wordpress by using my iPhone. That extremely handy given how often I use this wacky device.

As you can tell I haven’t updated this blog in some time. That’s because we’re trying to determine what to do with our new layout. I’ve been trying to come up with new ideas and features that people will enjoy.

Outside of that, I’ve been trying to get my comics in order, which is never an easy thing to do. I have a lot of comic boxes and I’m trying to figure out the best solution for storing them. I think I may check out the newer drawer system which allows you to pile more boxes on top of each other without fear of crushing the ones on the bottom. If this works out I’ll snap some pics and show them to you guys.

That’s it for now.

Weekly Books: May 13th, 2009

May 18, 2009

Hey all, here are the books I picked up last Wednesday.  I forgot to update this blog when I bought the books.  Sorry about that.

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Century 1910

Action Comics #877, GeNeXt #1, Howling Commandos #1, Secret Six #9, Secret Warriors #4, Ultimate Spider-Man #132, The Unknown #1, Unwritten #1

So there you have it.  I’ve already read all my books and am ready for an insane week next week, where I have to buy another bunch of books.  Unknown #1 was quite original, while Unwritten was absolutely incredible.  It was by far the best book of the week.  Then again, Secret Six was hilarious and any of you comic fans out there should be reading this book!  The rest of my books were the usual fair, except for The League.  That was another excellent book by Alan Moore and I’m so disappointed that we have to wait until 2010 in order to get the next part.  Damn does that suck!

So that’s it for this week.  I do hope once these become official blogs we start to get some comments because I’d love to hear from the other comic fans out there.

A Few Variants

May 7, 2009

Over the last week I’ve picked up a few variants.  Check them out!

Not too bad eh?  I didn’t stop there though, I actually picked up a few others.

And finally there was…

This was a really cool book.  Oh and I almost forgot, check this out!

That’s Seaguy #1 signed by Cameron Stewart.  How awesome is that?  You can thank the guys at Komico.  More like I can thank them, and I did.  I brought in Donuts yesterday to say thanks.  It’s the best comic shop in Montreal and I highly recommend it to everyone and anyone who likes to read comics.  These guys are the best, nuff said.

Welcome Home

May 6, 2009

Hey everyone.  Ahmed, from COE fame, opened up a COE blog today which will hopefully help us out in getting our E3 out in a timely manner.  Since this is my personal blog, I figured I’d talk a little bit about some of the stuff I plan to pick up tomorrow.  What could that be?  Comics!  I’m a hardcore comic fan and what’s nice about personal blogs like this is that it allows me to talk about whatever I want to outside of games.  Everyone knows I’m Mr. Industry, but with a blog like this I can open up on other stuff.

Amazing Spider-Man #593

Amazing Spider-Man #593

Yup, this is probably the most popular comic I plan to pick up tomorrow.  I got this image from IGN of all places.  Yes I know all about Comic Book Resources and Newsarama, but it was the first image I saw so I linked it here.

I don’t want to be talking forever, but will likely post detailed thoughts in the future.  We’ll see how the other COE members take to this blog, and more things around accordingly.
